By strongly supports and involvement from and good collaboration with village chief, Women Health Supporting Group in village level and local authorities, we achieved 84 participants (70 women) from two districts – Siem Reap (Kork Chan village, Ampil Commune) and Soutr Nikom (Ben Village, Dan Run Commune). They are proud and happy to see Chamroeun come to educate villager in purpose WASH behavior change.

We are committing to helping them become open defecation free and accessing clean/safe water.

It should be remind that on June 28, 2016, the fire destroyed few houses which located in Thnot Chrum Village, Sangkat Boeng Tompon, Khan Mean Chey.  Among those households, three were Chamroeun’s partners, Chamroeun is very sorry that this unexpected calamity happened to partners. Through Chamroeun Foundation Association, we contributed to support our partners with the very basic stuffs that they need. Hopefully, they will be able to recover from this difficult situation.

True Money

May 3rd, 2016, Chamroeun Microfinance Limited and TrueMoney Cambodia Limited signed an agreement on bill payment service. Under this agreement, Chamroeun's partners will be able repay their loan through about 5000 TrueMoney Agents cross 25 cities/provinces in Cambodia. As mentioned by Mr. Pheng Raksa, CEO of Chamroeun, this agreement is another progress for us besides financial services, which we have been offered to partners as our mission and vision, to improve the livelihood of the poor partners as we've done so far, including the socio-economic services, micro-insurance and so on.

For this new additional service will play an important role in helping partners in the payment of loan to Chamroeun through TrueMoney agents with a special fee of 1,600 riel only per transactio. Also I believe and sincerely hope that this loan repayment service will provide benefit and the right choice to partners, which helps them to save cost, safety, convenience and flexibility as they can make their repayment even on holidays or weekends. Chamroeun and TrueMoney will continue to support and promote this cooperation to work smoothly and get support from several partners.

House Fire Relief for Partners

March, 2016, Chamroeun Foundation Association contributed a budget to 4 partners of Chamroeun who faced house fire on February 8th, 2016 at Toul Roka Village, Sangkat Chak Angre Krom, Khan Mean Chey, Phnom Penh. CFA has provided some cash and helpful items as their basic necessities. We are very sorry to partners who are the victims of house fires, and hopefully they will quickly recover their business activities and livelihoods.

To develop a better repayment method for our partners, Chamroeun has signed an agreement with Wing in late 2014 and the service was roll out to all branches by mid-2015.

Chamroeun expected that this service would provide another option for our partner to repay back their loan to us through any Wing Agent in 25 city/provinces in Cambodia. Instead of coming to Chamroeun’s branch office, this service provides them benefits as:

- Saving Time and Money: Reduces time and costs of transportation for making repayment at Chamroeun's offices, by making repayment through Wing Agents which are very closed to their residents.

- More convenient and flexible repayment time: Partner can make repayment even weekend, holiday, out of business hours.

- Multiple currencies accepted: Partner can make repayment in different currencies, in place.
